Drumming Circle June 21, 6:30-7:30pm at Parlee Beach Provincial Park We are honoured to welcome Junior Peter-Paul and Esther Annie Clair to our Yoga Fest. Junior Peter-Paul, from Elsipogtog First Nation, is a respected Mi’kmaq cultural educator and knowledge keeper dedicated to preserving and sharing Mi’kmaq traditions, teachings, songs, drumming, and ceremonies. Together, Junior and Esther share the gifts and teachings entrusted to them, honouring their ancestors while helping to carry this knowledge forward for future generations. Through their stories and teachings, they foster understanding, connection, and respect, offering an opportunity to learn from the people of these lands and the traditions that continue to guide them today. Joining them is Nathalie, who is guided by a deep love of community, nature, energy, and the healing power of rhythm. Together, they will create a welcoming space for participants to gather in circle, connect, learn, and share in a meaningful cultural experience. Junior Peter-Paul, de la Première Nation d’Elsipogtog, est un éducateur culturel et gardien du savoir mi’kmaq dédié au partage des traditions, enseignements, chants, tambours et cérémonies mi’kmaq. Ensemble, Junior et Esther partagent les enseignements transmis par leurs ancêtres, favorisant la compréhension, la connexion et le respect tout en contribuant à préserver cette culture pour les générations futures. Ils seront également accompagnés de Nathalie, guidée par son amour de la communauté, de la nature et du pouvoir rassembleur du rythme. Une boîte de dons sera disponible pour ceux et celles qui souhaitent soutenir leur travail et la transmission de ces précieux enseignements culturels.
